Use ChatGPT and Claude Together: A Two-App Review Workflow

Combine ChatGPT and Claude as writer and skeptical reviewer. Share approved facts, resolve unsupported claims and apply only accepted corrections.

In this article

Use ChatGPT and Claude together when a second, targeted review could improve a draft. This guide covers moving a task between their native apps. It is different from selecting models within one shared chat product: native accounts, files and conversation state do not automatically transfer.

Key Takeaways

What to take away.

  1. Transfer approved source material explicitly between separate apps.

  2. Use the second assistant to critique a specific claim or omission.

  3. Reject suggestions that add unsupported proof, even when they sound persuasive.

Prepare a shared source packet

Create a short brief with the audience, purpose, approved facts and constraints. Include the current draft and a list of open questions when moving between tools.

Use only information you are authorized to share with each service. Do not assume account settings or uploaded files transfer from one product to another.

ChatGPT Work’s overview and Claude’s file guide establish their document-oriented capabilities. Assigning one a drafting role and the other a review role is the editorial method proposed here, not a vendor claim that the combination guarantees better accuracy.

Download the source packet · Download the decision log. Use the packet to distinguish the source, the draft and the accepted correction. Record rejected suggestions too. The next assistant gets the approved version and its sources; a long chat transcript alone does not establish what was approved.

Ask one assistant to produce a bounded draft

For example: “Draft a six-slide client proposal from these notes. Use action titles, preserve uncertainty and leave missing commercial terms unresolved.” Keep the source packet with the result.

Choose either assistant for this first step. A useful workflow does not require claiming that one always writes and the other always reasons better.

Ask the other assistant for a targeted review

Copy a brief, the source material and the current draft into the second app. Include the decisions that must stay and questions still open. A summary of the first assistant’s opinion alone leaves the reviewer without the evidence.

Review request: “Use the attached source to review this draft. Return a table with the exact sentence, its supporting passage, the problem and a proposed correction. Separate unsupported claims from wording preferences. Do not rewrite the draft yet. If the source cannot resolve a point, mark it as unknown.”

Accept a criticism only after checking it. A second model can also misunderstand the evidence or propose an unnecessary change.

Apply verified changes and finish the work

Keep one current version of the draft and a short decision log. Otherwise the two conversations can diverge and you may accidentally deliver an older version.

Syaxis lets eligible paid users choose available OpenAI and Anthropic models within its own Chat workflow. That is not the same as bundling ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions or their native integrations. Compare plans.

If the next step is a presentation, bring the selected draft and sources into Syaxis and specify the audience and topic you want to present. You can discuss and refine that material in Chat before requesting the deck. The presentation agent develops the slide structure, researches the topic and creates the slides; later revisions stay with the saved presentation.

Accept a useful critique and reject an unsupported one

Give the writer this fictional source: “A two-week pilot is proposed for one team; no result is available.” Ask the reviewer to identify unsupported claims in the draft “The successful pilot proves the process works company-wide.” Two corrections are necessary: the pilot has not happened, and its proposed scope is one team.

A useful handoff returns a corrected sentence and cites the source phrase that required the change. An unhelpful critique asks the writer to add an impressive improvement percentage. Reject that suggestion until there is evidence. In separate native apps, transfer the approved brief and relevant files explicitly; selecting models inside Syaxis is a different product workflow.

Keep a transfer packet containing the source excerpt, current draft, accepted corrections and one requested review. Return only verified changes to the authoring app. If the second app cannot read the original attachment, attach it there or provide the approved excerpt; a link to the first private conversation is not a substitute for access.

FAQ

Usually send a compact brief, the approved sources and the draft to review. A long transcript can mix rejected suggestions with facts and make the second pass less focused.

No. Evaluate each suggested change against the source and goal. A second assistant can find a real omission or introduce a new error; its role is review, not automatic approval.

How we prepare our guides

Syaxis uses AI to assist with drafting and translation. Comparisons draw on linked sources; they are not hands-on tests unless a test method is described. Worked examples are illustrative unless identified otherwise.
