A model and an app are different purchases
The model generates responses. The app adds its own tools, files, integrations, interface and plan rules. A third-party service can use a model without reproducing every feature in the provider’s native product.
Before cancelling a subscription, list the native features you use. A connector or office integration may matter more than access to the same model family.
The distinction is visible in the documentation: OpenRouter describes API access, while ChatGPT’s presentation guide describes a native application workflow. Access through one interface should not be treated as an entitlement to the other.
What the Syaxis subscription covers
Syaxis offers presentation creation with built-in research and PowerPoint export, Chat and image creation. Eligible paid plans allow selection among currently available Chat models; Free uses Auto.
Gemini is not currently included. Presentation generation chooses models automatically, and a Chat selection does not control every provider call in a deck build.
Compare the work, not a hypothetical saving
Write down your monthly tasks and the limits each plan places on them. Compare billing periods, credits, exports and presentation caps. Do not add up subscriptions you would never buy to create a large savings claim.
Retain a separate native subscription when a feature you rely on is not available in the multi-model product.

Complete one representative task in the candidate platform before moving recurring work. Verify the output, model selection, file access and revision workflow.
Read current Syaxis plans and the provider’s own terms for any service you continue using. Access and data settings are specific to the product and account.
Separate the model from the membership

Those features belong to the product implementation and account you actually use.

If your real requirement is a native provider feature, retain or evaluate that provider’s app independently.
