An agency pitch deck has to sell an approach while making the scope understandable. A visually striking concept is not enough if the client cannot tell which audience it serves, what the agency will deliver or which approvals the work requires.
This fictional example pitches a launch campaign for a neighborhood learning studio. It demonstrates a strategy and scope structure without using invented client logos or performance results.
Connect the creative idea to an audience problem.
Separate the concept from the delivery commitment.
Make approvals and exclusions visible before the closing slide.
A pitch sequence that earns the concept
Introduce the audience and communication problem before revealing the creative direction. Otherwise the client must judge the concept on taste alone.
| Slide | Job | Example content |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Brief | Confirm the business question | Help local adults understand the studio’s evening classes |
| 2 · Audience | Explain the communication barrier | Prospective learners need to see the time commitment and first step |
| 3 · Position | Choose the message | A practical place to start a new skill after work |
| 4 · Concept | Make the message tangible | An evening-class story shown across a launch deck and social assets |
| 5 · Deliverables | Bound the assignment | One presentation, a defined asset set and agreed revision rounds |
| 6 · Process | Show how the work gets approved | Brief approval, concept review, production and handoff |
| 7 · Measurement | Name what will be observed | Inquiry sources and enrollment steps, with an agreed baseline |
| 8 · Decision | Ask for the next commitment | Approve the direction and nominate the client approver |
Explain why the concept fits the brief
The fictional audience is interested in learning but uncertain about the time commitment. A concept that only shows beautiful classroom interiors misses that question. A more relevant story could show the journey from finishing work to attending a short evening session.
This is an editorial hypothesis to discuss with the client, not a claim established by research. If interviews or survey data exist, cite them. If they do not, identify the assumptions the client needs to confirm before production.
Show a concept without implying a finished campaign
Label mockups and generated images as concept material. A proposed social graphic can demonstrate composition and tone without suggesting that the photograph depicts an actual class or customer. Keep important copy in editable text so the client can review it separately.
For this studio, use a restrained palette, an evening setting and a clear space for the class name. The presentation visuals guide explains when an image is useful and when a process diagram or table communicates more.
Make the delivery boundary easy to read
A scope slide should distinguish included outputs from optional work. “Campaign launch support” is too broad to price or approve confidently. Name the number and type of assets, the required source inputs, the review stages and the final file handoff.
Also name the approval dependency. If the client supplies course descriptions late, the production timeline may change. Showing this relationship early is more useful than hiding it in a dense final slide.
| Included in the proposed phase | Requires a separate decision |
|---|---|
| Launch narrative and presentation | Ongoing campaign management |
| An agreed set of campaign graphics | Additional channels or formats |
| Defined concept and production reviews | New creative directions after approval |
An AI brief for the agency proposal
“Create an agency pitch deck for the attached learning-studio brief. Explain the audience barrier before showing the campaign concept. Distinguish hypotheses from research findings. Include deliverables, client inputs, approvals and exclusions. Use labeled concept visuals; do not invent portfolio clients, testimonials or campaign results.”
Create the presentation in Syaxis from the brief, then use Chat for alternative message directions or image concepts. Keep the approved concept stable while revising the scope slide. This reduces the risk of accidentally broadening the commitment during a wording pass.
Ask for a decision the client can actually make
End with the proposed phase, the decision owner and the next review date. If commercial terms are still open, state that rather than presenting a fully approved engagement. The close should make progress possible without implying agreement that has not happened.
For work already underway, switch to a client presentation focused on decisions and feedback. For the campaign itself, use the marketing strategy deck to organize channels and measurement.
الأسئلة الشائعة
Should an agency pitch include a portfolio?
Include relevant work you are authorized to show, with clear attribution and your actual role. A short relevant example is more useful than unrelated logos or an unsupported results claim.
How much free concept work should the deck contain?
Show enough to explain the proposed direction and decision. Clearly distinguish pitch concepts from contracted production deliverables so the presentation does not create an ambiguous scope.
Use the sales-deck guide when the main challenge is structuring the commercial conversation rather than presenting a creative direction.
